Search "gun" on Wikipedia

An article re Wikipedia, "a complete and accurate free content encyclopedia" that you can add to/edit caught my eye in today's Va. Pilot.

After a fast browse I plugged "gun" in the search box and up popped a bevy of material on guns, "assault weapons" (the ban, too), and a passle more.

You might want to check this out - even add (or correct errors). Pretty factual. Most text was written (IMO) on the pro side of the anti/pro line.

I like Wikipedia. I've even made an entry. I use it quite often with my schooling. Good source... sometimes.

Open Source refrence book. Gotta love it.

Thanks for the reply, George. I was beginning to believe I had a faux pas with this... I hadn't heard of Wikipedia before and the "gun" search produced some texts that seemed reasonable.

I was just about to post something about wikipedia and firearms when i searched and found your post. I think it would be great if some other THR members took advantage of this resource and perhaps even added some of their vast firearms knowledge to it.
