Hope you all can help. I carry most all the time right now and currently use a Kahr PM9 in an ankle holster. I'm averaged size, 36" waist, and typically wear slacks or jeans with a tucked in T-shirt or golf shirt. I've recently decided to make a few changes and want to upgrade to a .45 and switch to IWB carry. I want a tuckable holster that is stable and comfortable. I'm willing to go up to $130-140 for it. Maybe a little more if I had to, but it'd have to be one amazing holster for more than that.

I purchased a Para LDA CCO and have put enough ammo through it to almost feel comfortable carrying it for self defense. Currently this is the weapon I'll be using in this holster.

The only tuckable holster I have now is this. It's for the PM9.

It has a single attachment point off to the side of holster and the weight of the gun makes the holster want to rotate. I have to adjust it frequently, and the PM9 is one of the lightest guns you can get. I'd hate to see how it would handle a larger piece.

Here are a couple of holsters I've been looking at.

These seem to be the most stable but I wonder about bulk. I also thought about something else with a single attachment point but more central on the holster body like this.

But I'm thinking one of the others would be much more stable.

Suggestions? Experiences? Reviews, either positive or negative?

I have the CTAC and love it. It's comfortable, thin, and secure. I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about the Versa Max 2 but have no personal experience with it. I came down to the same two choices as you and went with the kydex. I think either would do fine.

If you want a top quality crafted leather IWB holster look no further than the Milt Sparks VM-2. This is one product that many try to imitate including a few kydex makers. Why settle for an imitation when you can get the original.
