SEARS AND ROEBUCK MODEL 36 RANGER 22

HELLO ALL,

I RECENTENLY GOT MY GRANDFATHERS 22 RIFLE WHICH IS A SEARS AND ROEBUCK MODEL 36 RANGER 22 LR ... AND I HAVE NO MAGAZINE FOR IT! I HAVE SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR IT AND HAVENT HAD ANY SUCCESS!!!! I TRIED NURMERICH AND BROWELLS AND NO SUCCESS. I DIDNT KNOW IF I COULD CROSS REFERENCE ANOTHER MANUFACTURE FOR THE MAGAZINE I NEED! I DIDNT KNOW IF A SAVAGE OR A MARLIN 22 MAGAZINE WOULD FIT THE RIFLE.. THE RIFLE IS VERRY OLD .

I know Brownell's had magazines that would fit several old .22's. I do not know if one would fit your .22.

If the Savage magazine does not fit, you might have to modify the magazine.

Think that may be same as a Marlin 80 and may have an adjustable trigger.

I think the Numrich site has some tables showing who made what models for what store. Check that, it may show exactly who made it and what model it crosses to.

This is a Marlin model 80.You can get this mag from Marlin.But if you get it at a gun show look for one with a metal follower.This will fit and function better than the newer one with the orange plastic follower.

i did purchase a marlin magazine in the past ... i forget for what model it is for i was told it would fit the rifle... thanks for the help guys
