I have a Sears model 54 in .30/30 I purchased many years ago. I just started having issues with rounds feeding from the mag tube prematurely (under the lifter) that completely jams up the lever, making the gun inoperable untill I take it apart to clear the jam.

It is my understanding that this is a Sears copy of a Winchester model 94 top eject. Does anyone have experience with this malfunction? Any ideas on how to fix it? So far I have had the malfunction at least 4 times. Afraid to take this into the field ags basically ain till I can get this fixed. Right now it is a single shot...

There is a nub that keeps the rounds in the tube till the lifter is lowered, could this be worn down, causing the rounds to skip over it into the reciever?

Any help would be appreciated,
Nate
