Second Glock spring breakage.

Well, several months ago the slide lock spring broke and today the slide stop spring broke. This is on a G32 with about 6000 40 S&W IDPA rounds and about 3500 357 Sig rounds.
At least it broke while I was just shooting at the range. So, any ideas what will most likely be the next to go?
 
What is the difference between a slide lock and a slide stop?
 
I'm guessing the slide lock is the take-down latch. I forget what the bona-fide nomenclature is.
 
Slide lock is what keeps the slide on the gun, the slide stop locks the slide back when the gun is fired empty. I have had the slide lock spring break on my g19 once. It is super easy to replace, just make sure you get the right one, as there are different ones for the different sized glocks. If the slide lock spring breaks, the slide will only come off it the gun is dry fired otherwise it stays put, so if you are in a shootout and it breaks, you will be ok if you do a tactical reload or don't shoot the gun dry.
 
So if it breaks, the striker hook and trigger bar are what's keeping the slide on the gun?!!

I've got to replace mine before it breaks on its own.

would be my patience. Dump that POS and get your self something you can trust.
 
I've gone through 4 Glocks with never a single spring problem, either massivily bad luck or something out of spec:confused: Either way I'd call Glock about it...

One thing I have heard of locally if not experienced was trigger springs breaking. I went with the NY Spring and 3.5# connector to lessen the chance of that.
 
I said to myself as I opened this thread--"I wonder what kind of 40 cal Glock he has?"

I've just been noticing on the Beretta pistol forum that about 90% or more of the problems posted are with the 40 cal guns. Like Glock, the 9mm pistols seem to be much more problem free.
