As yall might recall, I did a camo paint job on my Tikka T3 using Krylon paint.
It turned out alright, not great but not horrible.
This time I was sure to have closer to equal amounts of the colors instead of one dominating the scheme.

The gun started off as a Mossberg 500A in Mossberg's "woodlands" camo with 24" ported vent ribbed turkey barrel.
I hack sawed off 5.5", knocked off the vent rib (big pain in the butt), crowned it on a wood lathe with a dremel, and soldered on a Mossberg factory ghost ring sight.
The crown looked great and the front sight was straighter than any sight I've seen on one from the Mossberg factory, so I felt pretty good about it.

I put on two coats of Krylon Fusion satin black on the barrel, wet sanded, then put on another coat. I did this to fill in a few very small knicks that I made when hacking off the vent rib.
The rest of the gun got one coat of satin black Krylon Fusion.
Masking tape went on, then the green paint, more tape, then the khaki paint.

Here's the Mossberg:

Here's a pic of a 50 yard target. The bottom shoot-n-see is 5.5" in diameter. That's five shots of Brennekke 2.75" modified foster slugs.
Two of the holes are almost perfectly on top of one another (the hole in the middle of those three in line is actually two holes).

I was pleasantly surprised with the gun. It shot almost exactly to POA without any adjustments. I hit a 12x12" steel plate at 100 yards on the first try too....of course it took me three tries to hit the second steel plate, but I attribute that to user error ;)

The pics are really there. The server does not allow hotlinking, so if the pic doesn't open when you click then copy and paste the address.
