i sectioned an inertia pulled SBR brand 38spl wadcutter projectile today to see what its made of.
I read on this forum that one of the reasonable choices for defense with a 38 is the WC profile bullet, esp with a sharp shoulder hardcast.(*)
I dont know at this point how the pics will turn out after I post them, but here they are:
picture 1 is of the pulled projectile and case
pic 2 is of the bullet profile and measurement
pic 3 is to show the base and the exposed tracer element. the bullet has a very thin jacket
pic 4 is the sectioned projectile. Its all lead except for the pellet shaped tracer element at the base.
Anyway, just thought I would share.
