Been doing some web searching and it looks like no one makes night sights for a Ruger Security Six. I was wondering if anyone might know of some that could easily be adapted to fit on the S6? Thanks...

The rear sight assembly from the GP100, Redhawk, SRH will fit on a Security Six. The front sight will not. The front sights on the Security Sixes are pinned, unlike the GPs, Redhawks, etc. with adjustable sights. They have a unique quick-release front sight that is locked in place by a spring and plunger system at the end of the barrel.

There are several current DA Rugers that use the pinned front sights, 4" Redhawk, 3" GP, Alaskan, SP, etc.., but I'm not sure if they will fit in the Security Six.

Maybe someone will chime in with some more information about the pinned front sights on the Ruger DAs.

I have seen adds for Photoluminescent paint to put on sights but they require an initial light exposure to give you the glow during low and no light conditions.

Here is a link I found on Trijicon web site for a provider saying they will drill and install night sight on conventional fixed and sights. http://www.tooltechgunsight.com/

Hey guys. Sorry to dig up a dead thread, but just wondering something. It would be worth it to me to get the XS sights for my Speed Six, and just put in the front sight (rear wont fit since it's fixed sight). My question is, will the front sight for a Security Six fit in my Speed Six? Are they a standard size?

I believe the Security Six will have a taller front sight due to the adjustable rear sitting taller. On the other hand the XS front sight for the 3" fixed sight GP100 might work if someone can modify the bottom to fit in the slot. A call to XS might answer the question.
