Here is mine...

Too heavy for my wife to shoot or carry.

MINTY shape with a very smooth action.

Far better than any GP-100 that I've shot.

I'm sure I'll sell it locally when I list it in the papers.

Deaf,
Some fine looking revolvers you have.
Thanks Tekarra,

There is nine of 'em in those photos.

Yes I have more but those are some of my finest. At heart I'm a wheelgun man.

But usually I pack a Glock. I sure won't cry if I have to drop mine, or let the cops take it, or shoot a zillion rounds out of it till it falls apart.

But I grew up on Colt 'O' frame and Smith 'K's. Only later did I meet up with Rugers (wish it had been earlier!)

CZF,

Does your Six have recessed chambers? It looks like it does in the picture. My 1979 vintage blued 6" does not. Not that it makes any difference in how it shoots but I did not think Ruger made revolvers with counter bored chambers.

Road dog, I think your right with 1.5 million sold he more than recouped R&D and tooling costs. I dont buy the didnt make money, story either.

I love my Security Six a bunch. However, I somehow doubt that Ruger got tired of selling too many of them and tried to find a less attractive replacement so he wouldn't have to keep making inconvenient trips to the bank. Apparently the love wore off or they were hurt by the negative publicity going around about the similarly sized K-frame magnums. I prefer the Six series (and K-frames) to the GP-100 too, but eventually high selling durable goods saturate their markets and need to be replaced or rested for awhile.
