Does anyone have a recommendation for a twin cities area FFL holder that I could use to facilitate a shotgun purchase from an internet dealer? I'm in a southern suburb. I'm only looking at a HD shotgun right now (saving the fully automatic .22lr 1000 yard sniper rifle for next month), but I'd still prefer to establish a relationship of sorts with someone who is generally friendly to all kinds of legal firearms. Even if I never buy an evil black rifle, I've developed a definite preference for folks who don't get all nervous about things.

Of course, I'd prefer an FFL who take customer confidentiality as seriously as the ATF lets them, is generally trustworthy, and good to work with. Also wouldn't mind a guy who is able to order the firearms directly. Sometimes after shipping and all, its about the same price I can get it for online anyway.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations. (or for links to past threads, did a search and found threads for other states but no MN)

Any recommendations? I can just go randomly pick one if not. Haven't heard back from SteelyDan yet. SteelyDan, if you haven't received my email from my yahoo addy, let me know and I'll try again.

Thanks,

Thanks for the recommendation sully. Would you also use them for some more basic gunsmithing as well? I don't have anything yet, but plan to get some trigger work done this summer, and have been hoping to find a good local gunsmith.

Hope to make it down your way for some training at some point, looks like you have lots of fans.

I have dealt with lots of Gunsmiths and proclaimed Gunsmiths. Randy at Territorial I not only trust with my personal guns, but that is who I send people too. Randy is extremely knowledgable, an artist of gunsmithing, as well as a talented machinist. Finding a Gunsmith and Machinist combined in one is a rarity. Check with the guys who hang out at the Minnesota hometown forums at www.ar15.com to get their insite as well into Territorial Gunsmiths, there are also a few pictures posted of some custom guns that were done by them as well.

Stay Safe,
