Recently, I've grown to hate pocket pistols and tiny snubbies, and I would really like to carry my Ruger New Vaquero during the summer months. (I know it's quite some time 'til summer, but I'm a broke college student and I have to plan for these things) I enjoy open carry just fine, but there are times when I don't feel it's appropriate or I don't want the potential attention.

I stumbled across the Safepacker: http://store.thewilderness.com/index.php?cPath=51

This seems like a good solution, as it lets me conceal regardless of how I'm dressed, offers great protection, and also I don't have to have 2.5 lbs. of steel stuffed in my shorts. I have no problem wearing a man purse either, I'm a pretty serious amateur photographer and I'm used to wearing/carrying awkward bags. (35mm for life!)

The problem I'm having is that I'm concerned that this will have the same effect as one of those concealment vests, folks who pay attention will know you're hiding something. I know that 90+% of people are constantly in condition white, but it still bothers me a bit. Also, I'd love to believe the website, but I'm concerned that the draw will not be all that fantastic.

Any of y'all who use this holster/bag, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
