Seems time for Ruger to reintroduce the 44 Mag carbine

While I have slings on my rifles, I will carry them in my hands the majority of the time. I mainly use the sling to help steady the firearm when I have to shoot offhand. I recently purchased a Ching Sling and it works great for its intended purpose!

I suspect that you may be forgetting about the concept of a rifle sling. If you're ready to shoot and stalk through undergrowth, you're carrying with two hands. If you're not ready to shoot, throw it behind your back.

Yes, and with a sling that magazine rides into my back. Slings are fine for hiking in and out when no need to be at ready but still hunting in brush with a sling, no. I want my carbine in my hands or preferably a lever gun with a tube magazine. I see no point in the huge magazines. I am not going to war. But each to their own, I will take mine without a protruding magazine.
