I don't want to start an argument as there are some talented shooters out there, but I have a hard time believing someone could read wind and elevation well enough with that little bullet to make consistent hits. Add to that the added difficulty of doing so with a pistol, and I doubt it is anything but luck to be totally honest. Just guessing, but that's gotta be like a 20 foot holdover, and who knows how one establishes the dope for the wind drift at that range.

Still, it is possible. Super hard, very lucky, but possible.

Looked legit to me. It looked like a full-size IPSC or IDPA type target, and you don't have to dead-center a steel target to make a ping... :p Considering his hit rate was about 50%, I believe it was real.

Really, if you have a steady target and calm conditions, it's not hard to make hits with a handgun well past the distance most people think you can. I regularly plink at the 100-yd plate on my club's rifle with a DA .357 revolver. After watching this I think it's time to break out the 22/45 and give it a go.

Not sure why people are accusing the guy of lying just because they personally either can't do it, or have not tried. Seems unfair to the shooter.

He has other videos and knows what he is doing.

Now, if he was using only iron sights, that would begin to stretch my credulity, but....not this.

That's some great shooting!

Eh, I have tried shooting roughly that far give or take, and it's hard to even see your poi for adjustments, but your right, I was using iron sights. Also, it was with a .357, not a .22.

I will say, fun to try! I have done a little long distance handgunning for fun, and it is a kick to hit something far, far away.

I've done some 150 yard shooting with a Glock 26 and stock sights (Glock sights and I don't get along), and I could smack the gong every shot, as soon as I found the "hold-over" (I actually pull the rear sight down in my sight picture, instead of holding over).
