1. yes, they use gunpowder, and some inventive people here already do reload: that is, unload factory ammo, make new powder load (pssst, no one says 'hotter load', that's big no-no
) and load it again carefully.

4. well, 9mm ball can make a big sking bruise, and 12ga ball or 18mm slug can, at short ranges and with light clothing, break the bone (rib, for example)

6. sounds like .22 or .25 handgun to me, unless you use 18mm gun with flash-bang rounds, which sound as a .300 WinMag with short barrel
