one thing the deputy that taught my ccw class said was: Never fire a warning shot... if you absolutely have to pull the trigger, make sure you kill him.

when he told us that if we used our guns in self defense, they would be confiscated as evidence, he said: Firearms are replaceable...your life isn't.

Never fight anyone--put them out.

Clarified: a lesson from my father after the first time I had to defend myself as a kid. His point being, don't attempt to fight, attempt to end a fight quickly.

Shot placement is King, speed is Queen.

The most important and effective weapon is the one in your head ( My SD instructor for defensive tactics in college).

'Practice at home. Make your handgun a natural pointer."

And retain an attorney; if you cause collateral damage, hope like h___ that your Prosecuting Attorney never ever heard of "natural pointing", or that the phrase, "natural point-of-aim" never comes up during your manslaughter trial. "Front sight, rear sight, press, repeat as needed." CYOA Dao.

So I've heard said ... ;)

"Two is one; one is none."

"Under-penetration gets good-guys killed"

Oh... EMS training counts?

I will throw these out then...

"Scene Safe, BSI...." (Sorry, the EMT's will get it....)

And...

Two is one, one is none.

And to further expand on the EMT theme.

"Warm and dead we work.
Cold and dead we don't"
(Unless it's "cosmetic CPR")

Looks like we're about out of collective 'wisdom' on this, and there is better use of bandwidth.
