I know conventional wisdom says to part things out when selling to gain more profit.

Nothing conventional about what's going on now.

So if a guy were to sell an AR15, would you advise selling with the magazines or selling magazines separately?

Some re-sellers say they can get more for a package including a gun and magazine and a spare than they can get for the gun and two magazines seperately, or for the gun with one magazine and the spare seperately. Depends a lot on the buyer.

If I had to hunt down magazines, I would want a bargain on the gun. Gas prices to get to the local milsurp wholesaler, or shipping and handling costs, are part of my equation.

This is what I'm getting at. Agree it should come at least with one, but didn't know if a package of gun plus say 4 magazines would gain more than selling the gun and magazines separately.
