Sell me on a lever action

No arguments with any of the comments above, but lever actions can be fun under other circumstances.

Cowboy action shooters enjoy the speed of a lever action rifle in pistol calibers, as you can tell from this clip. The reproduction of an 1873 Winchester in .357 Magnum could still be used as a hunting rifle like any other .357, but you can't fire 10 shots in less than 2 seconds with a bolt gun:

(I'm guessing the shooter was using lightly loaded .38 Specials. Most of us do.)

Lever-actions will sell themselves on you.

At least they did sell themselves on me.

I had a Marlin 336C in .30-30. Used it on a hunt to stand in for my stepdad when he was called in to work.

I currently have a 336W in .30-30 which I often use to participate in black powder matches, a Marlin 39A Mountie in .22, and a Rossi Puma 1892 clone in .357 that started slightly rough but slicked up nicely over the years.

I'll warn you. Lever-actions can become an obsession.
