I'm wanting to test the waters and offer a trade on a pistol in my safe for one of lesser value plus cash. I'm curious as to how to best do it.
Is it best, in the ad, to leave dollar figures off - i.e., "I have gun X and want to trade for gun Y plus cash" - and be prepared to negotiate; or state the estimated values of the guns plus the amount of cash I hope to receive - i.e., "I have gun x, worth $500, and am looking for gun y plus $200"?
I've done outright sales before but never a trade request for a specific firearm.
Thanks,
