Well, I still don't understand, unless...maybe did you misunderstand Midwest's comment?!?
Maybe that's it. He was saying, if you go to Cabela's website (or Cheaper than Dirt, or other outdoors retailer) and look at things like airguns, there will be a little blurb at the bottom of the catalog entry that says, "These items cannot be shipped to the following states: HI, MA, MD, IL....." Or something like that.
Those retailers keep a pretty close eye on what states some of their products (airguns, paintball guns, knives, stun guns, ammo, blackpowder weapons, and things like that) are against the law.
You can use that info as a rough double-check to see if your state might have squirrely laws that restrict airguns.
He certainly meant no disrespect or insult!
