60 pounds average per five gallon bucket sound about right.
When I pick up brass at the local gravel pits I use gallon paint cans and they average right around ten pounds.
I alway have a couple gallon paint cans and a few three or five gallon plastic buckets in the back of the truck for picking up brass.
I bought a magnet from Harbor Frieght for picking up shotgun hulls and steel rifle & pistol cases at the gravel pit
Every weekend I pick up buckets & bags full of garbage cases. The steel cases ho to the recyle yard, the shotgun hulls go to the garbage transfer station.
It take several weekend to get ahead on the garbage at the gravel pit.
