Neighboring Illinois votes today to ban all mags over 10 rounds. I can see the FEDS doing the same real soon. So instead of being a Felon I am selling a AK, Yugo M70 AB2 and a UZI model B. This will leave me with a LOT of wheel guns, a SXS 12 gauge, a few STAR 8+1 BM's, and a Model 70. I PRAY I am wrong, and will stick with you till the end in this fight with the Left/Anti's but I can just smell it in the air.

Kind of early to capitulate don't you think?

We went to a gun show last weekend. After following a few of these threads, I was anticipating seeing some panic buying going on. Didn't see any. Maybe I should have been looking for panic selling instead.:scrutiny:

Wow
What the #@!! Is wrong with people?

This is eaxactly why our forefathers fought for our independence. Mine did. And there is no way I’d turn over my weapons. I’d rather fight to my last breath.

That said, turning in weapons only emboldens those trying to destroy us. I hope and pray that things don’t hit the perverbial fan, but if it does, I’m not going be unarmed.

I guess some of simply are willing to risk being a felon for having a “banned weapon”than become a subject of the leftist.

They may vote to ban MANUFACTURING of hi capacity magazines but any law to ban POSSESSION of hi cap mags will be so widely ignored it will be a joke. Same with so-called 'assault' weapons. The Clinton AWB did that (banned manufacture but not sales or possession):

The Federal Assault Weapons Ban (AWB)—officially, the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act—is a subsection of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, a United States federal law that included a prohibition on the manufacture for civilian use of certain semi-automatic firearms it defined as assault weapons, as well as certain ammunition magazines it defined as "large capacity".

The ten-year ban was passed by the U.S. Congress on September 13, 1994, following a close 52–48 vote in the Senate, and signed into law by then President Bill Clinton the same day. The ban only applied to weapons manufactured after the date of the ban's enactment, and it expired on September 13, 2004, in accordance with its sunset provision.

Even if this does come to pass, you will not have illegal firearms...

Just undocumented firearms.

Don't worry there be an executive order helping the undocumented firearms under 18 years old. I have heard it is the Deferred Action for Carrying Assault weapons (DACA). I have also heard that even Demorats favor DACA and are looking for ways to pass it :)

If they do that with a Republican POTUS and control of both houses of Congress, you can count on a lot more than just that after the next election because they will all be out of jobs at that point.

I CAN'T see Congress doing that... unless Paul Ryan wants to turn his gavel over to "Speaker Pelosi".
Paul is quitting as are other R leaders, kinda makes one wonder.

If one enjoys owning revolvers and SXS shotguns that should be the reason to own them not what “could” happen with the law.

That's exactly the wrong thing to do, IMO. You should be buying more right now, before the panic sets in. Most likely, they will be grandfathered. Or, you might get compensation at the inflated market value. Either way, the chance of losing money is small.

Don't sell your guns. We all will become felons together. The 100 million of us that become felons and go to jail also happen to pay 95% of the federal tax revenue. We will defund the federal government while we are in jail not working and not paying taxes.

Then we will have a real shot at making America great again.

OP, I don't quite understand your reasoning. You are NOT in Illinois, so the laws there don't impact you in the neighboring state. At this time there is no serious discussion on the national level to implement anything like that nationwide.
I'd say you're a little early in wanting to rid yourself of those evil guns and mags.
But, if you are not into them, then by all means sell them.

By the way, not a one of those you list are an "assault weapon".
They are all semi-automatic rifles using standard capacity magazines as designed.

Seems a bit premature and somewhat weird to even start thinking about selling your "assault weapons" (that's another strange thing: I consider my AR15 and SA 85M to be "semi-auto rifles"; not "assault weapons"), especially when nothing has been done legislatively at the Federal level. Not really sure what side of the fence your sitting on but it sure appears you're willing to "jump the gun", so to speak, to placate the anti-gun crowd in regards to a possible magazine ban that hasn't even been enacted yet.

Surrender your guns if that's your mindset but mine aren't going anywhere except out to the range occasionally.

I can see the FEDS doing the same real soon.

That's not possible with the current Congressional composition and highly unlikely even after the mid term elections. No need to panic yet.

If you do, then donate the money to the organizations fighting to protect your right to own these firearms.
