I'd also suggest trying a Glock with a NY1 or NY2 trigger spring, if you don't mind trying a Glock out.

Friend, do yourself a favor and shoot an old S&W or Colt and then see if you would say something as ridiculous as this again.

I'm willing to bet you (and 95% of posters in this thread) haven't even fired a NY1 and NY2 trigger spring Glock... so don't bother putting him down when you haven't even tried it yet. Makes you look petty, and like a scared dog that was bitten one too many times, so now on the offensive.

I have owned and used a Glock 27 with an NY1 trigger.

In my opinion it's an improvement in terms of carry safety, but of course not as nice to shoot.

The OP was not asking for opinions about whether Glock has a good or bad trigger. The question is, what auto trigger is LIKE A REVOLVER.

With no amount of modification or imagination will a Glock trigger ever feel like a revolver trigger. The NY1 is designed to better approximate the pull weight of a revolver trigger, but beyond that it feels nothing like a DA revolver pull.

Sig, Kahr, H&K, Beretta, some Tauruses (or is it Tauri?). But not a Glock, not an M&P, not an XD.

I'd look into the ParaOrd LDA line or maybe the HK LEM trigger system. Big ups to the SIG sauer DAK line too.

A smooth clean DA only trigger is available on a few well made semi auto pistols but you need to seek them out...

Kahrs have a smooth long DA trigger. Look at the .45 models for something you like.

H&K P9S. Can't remember how heavy the DA pull was but, it was long and I don't think it was too terribly heavy. The SA pull was second to none, as far as regular production guns go anyways. I think the SA pull is something like 3.5# stock, the target version is adjustable down below that. Very, very clean and smooth break in SA too.

I havent handled one, but browning used to make the BDM. It had two modes one DA/SA and the other DAO. I have no idea of the quality of the trigger pull. It's hard to beat a nice old 19.

I've done some work on my CZ-75B Stainless and it's trigger is now quite a bit like a good DA revolver - smooth, clean, and very little stacking before it breaks. Stock CZ-75's are only okay, but they can be made very, very good.

My question pertains to the first long trigger pull on a DA/SA, and which of these is the closest to a DA revolver pull. Also, for the subsequent lighter SA pulls on that same gun, which is closest to a cocked S&W trigger?

Looks like a lot of people are voting for the Sig so far, but please keep suggestions coming.

You want this. Actually not. Colt and all the gun magazines made such a huge deal about the "revolver like" trigger. Freaking horrible trigger. The SIG 250 has the most nice revolver like trigger I've ever shot.

Nothing even comes close to the Para-Ord LDA trigger for double action. I've never shot anything like it.

Do you really want the long, creepy trigger pull of a DA revolver? Or would you rather have first and second shot to let off at 3 pounds with no creep and an incredibly short pull?

As a personal note, I find the query unreasonable. You either want light and crisp or you want long and, well, at best, reasonably smooth.

I hate long trigger pulls. When I feel the trigger I expect the gun to go bang.

I just bought a Sig P239, and usually carry a DAO M&P340 j-frame. The first pull on the Sig is much like the 340 in terms of feel and length, but not quite as heavy. Subsequent pulls are very short and crisp, with a very short reset.

I've not shot the P250, as others have suggested, but the Sig trigger on the 239 is very nice - I'd wager the 250 is nice, too.

I want the first pull to be long and reasonably heavy (creepy is optional ). If you don't, that's cool. As I'm sure you know, the longer heavier first pull serves much the same purpose as your 1911 manual safeties - without having to fiddle with them in a stressful situation.

I'm not saying DA/SA is better than a 1911, it's 100% personal preference, but those of us that prefer them aren't "unreasonable."

I haven't handled many of the newer pistols, but once I dry fired a new Beretta 92D. This is a double action only. It's trigger pull seemed as light and smooth as my Ruger Speed Six which has a double action trigger pull weight of about 8 lbs.

I presently own a CZ 75DAO and it's trigger ain't bad.

yup, notihing cmes even close to the Para lda trigger. IMO the most fantastic trigger system on the market. My kahr pm9 trigger is smooth, as is now my M & P 9 after a Dave bowie job, but still none add up to the Para LDA trigger. Now only had my para carry 9 worked as great as the LDA trigger did, I would still own it today.

I already said it but will post it again.

Do not buy anything until you have tried a DAK trigger from Sig. It is DAO but also has a shorter stroke trigger. Right now Buds is blowing out the SAS model for $665 delivered.

If you want a DA/SA go with the standard P220

Hands down my Baby Eagle full size in 9mm. I spent a few hours with it today at the range and the trigger is amazing. It approaches the trigger of a fine revolver. I know that no one has done work on the trigger as I bought it new. The single action pull is the almost the equal of any revolver that I've shot. It has a very light pull, zero creep, and an exceptionally crisp break. I had to really stay conscious so as not to unintentionally double tap. The double action is a bit more firm but velvet smooth.

Maybe it's just my gun, but doggone! I've always been a big fan of Sig trigger pulls, but they don't even get close to this Baby Eagle.
