Sent My RUGER Super Single-Six 5-1/2" .22 LR Back to the Mother Ship.

Relatively new, and it had some hammer bind and timing issues.

C/S sent me a shipping label and I sent it off a wk from last Friday.

Got it back today - Ten(10) days counting the Two(2) weekends - Gratis.

They replaced the hammer and bothered to buff all the sharp edges off it as well.

Action is now crunch-n-tick RUGER and slick as a Louisiana swamp log, and the trigger breaks like a 3.5# icicle.

Wow, they threw in a de-horn for your trouble? That is a blast from the past. It's been a very long time since I've heard of extra stuff. I know S&W would occasionally throw in a trigger job when a gun was sent in with a problem that should have been caught before it left the factory. I haven't heard of that in a very long time though.

Glad you now have a good gun.

I had a similarly excellent Ruger cs experience last fall. (MarkI) The Single Six is a fine shooter ; I'm glad that yours has been made right.

(Note to self: Dig the Single Six out of the safe and give it an overdue workout!)

I sent in a single six I bought used at my local LGS. Something was wrong inside the frame. It wouldn't let you cock the hammer if the pistol was canted at all to the left. They paid shipping and was back in less than 2 weeks. and I told them I bought it used.

I couldn't imagine having to send back two guns in the same year to the factory. They should go the extra before sending it out the door. Doesn't mean I don't like Ruger. My new Mini 30 I ordered is in. Pick up next week as soon as I get back from Germany. My friend at Remington always complains about having to ship things that aren't quite right, which is a pain anytime. Glad they make it right.
