so my buddy and i were sitting out in the field waiting for dawn for the doves and we started talking about the zombie apocalypse and the effectiveness of shotguns. and we are talking about slow staggering zombies, not those running ones (fat guys get eaten first)
of course buckshot and slugs will destroy the brain. but if you look around at major sporting good stores like academy, gander, bass pro, cough:::walmart::::cough, there is a usually a limited supply of buckshot and slugs. probably at least 90% is bird shot.
i imagine goose, duck, and turkey shot will puncture the human skull. but what about good ole cheap 7.5's. might be pretty iffy. probably make its way through the eye sockets if it bounces around enough
doesnt help that shotty shells are bulky and heavier relatively to other ammo.
i'm starting to think i'd rather just grab my good ole 10/22 instead
