ROA service
I bought a used Stainless Steel ROA. It felt,,,,Funny. Sort of a crunchy feel as it was cocked. The trigger had a lot of creep and was a hard let off. I shot a couple cylinders through it and it still felt funny. I figured a piece of cap was somewhere down in the action. NOPE. Still had that funny feel after a full strip and clean. I even took it to Jule at Big Iron Barrels. He looked it over, said yep. Don't feel right at all. He said if I really wanted to, he would take it and work on it but would charge me for his time. He highly recommended I send it back to Ruger and let them do it for FREE. I checked with my financial adviser and she said Free was closer to my price range.
So sent it to ruger with a note describing the condition as best I could during the week between Christmas and new years.
They didn't acknowledge receipt until after the holidays. I got it back last week with a little note saying they replaced the trigger, hammer, hand and nipples.
Which was funny cuz I removed all the nipples from my guns after cleaning. Don't want to accidentally peen one over. Didn't expect them to send new nipples (but thanks if you are listening)
The funny feel is gone. The trigger breaks clean and I'm guessing at about 3 pounds. I have yet to shoot it with the weather but convinced I'll be happy with the results.
