Hello folks,

I have a BPS with a black synthetic stock. It came tapped at the butt stock, and I would like to install a sling.

So what exactly is the best way of doing this?

The hole is not threaded and a 5/32" drill bit is snug inside. The depth is about 5/8" deep. I have a stud, but it is apparant to me that it won't just "twist" in by hand. Also, should I apply some loctite ?

You didn't say but I'm guessing that your desired sling swivel stud is smaller tthan 5/32"?

If the hole is too big for the swivel I'd probably mix up a little bit of black acraglass to lock it in, but I keep the stuff on hand.

Without it I'd probably use Elmer's wood glue because it dries clear.

Thanks for the replies.

I was finally able to just twist the stud in by hand although I had to insert a metal rod through the stud hole to get leverage. I did not use any adhesives.
