The subject says it all...brass PMC .380 for under $12 for 50.

At the moment, they've got about 1000 boxes in stock. Shipping seems reasonable. I'm getting 300 rounds shipped for roughly $.26 per round, which is by far the best deal I've seen in a long time on factory brass .380ACP. You must add the item to your cart to see the price.

I know we don't post deals around here often, so I'm not sure if this is the right spot, but I thought a lot of you pocket pistol lovers would get some relief.

Good pricing. However, is PMC a good brand of bullet? Does anyone have this brand that could give an opinion?

I have found PMC a bit under-loaded in my limited experience with it. I would not rely on any PMC ammo for serious work but seems fine for fun shooting.

That is a good price and all ammo prices seem to be coming down.

Yea, shipping'll kill you unless you're buying a bunch of those...

But it is decent ammo for going to the range

Don't forget to factor in shipping.
Factor in shipping and factor out tax. It's basically a wash for most people, plus, I haven't seen $0.26 per round .380 anywhere locally.

What areas of the country has the .380 epidemic hit, anyway? Last time I was at the gun store, they had at least 20 boxes of .380, priced at around $12/50. A friend of mine in KY has a few .380s, and has never had any problem finding ammo at all. Maybe I should buy a few boxes here and sell 'em on gunbroker for $20.

For whatever it's worth, I ran into what I thought was a good buy on PMC Brass this past Christmas ($14.95/50) and bought a bunch of it. I'm sorry that I did; it is, without question, the dirtiest, filthiest ammo I've ever used. I had to resort to a sonic cleaner to get all of the gunk out of my PPK, and I only ran three magazines worth of the stuff through it. My son also shot three mags through his Walther and had the same experience.

Perhaps I got a bad batch of the stuff, and judging by some comments I've seen since, that may well have been the case. But ... I haven't used the rest of it, won't, and I won't buy it again. I sincerely hope that your results vary.

That ammo is fine for practice, not the cleanest stuff around. That's a good price too, I picked up a 250rd value pack of it for the same price per round a couple years ago before the frenzy/shortage. I got it locally though so there was no shipping.

I dug around a little on the sight, they also have around 5300 boxes of
S&B .380 90 gr fmj, for just under $12 a box. I've never shot any S&B .380
but I've shot their .45acp fmj, and it's pretty good stuff.

I tried to check the specs (velocity, energy, etc.) against the PMC ammo,
but the S&B spec sheet is all in euro-metric.:banghead:

Walter

My mistake, that's 92 grain bullets in the S&B.

Well that is the system 99% of the world uses.

I've used the PMC and S&B in my P238, Bersa .380 and CZ 83. My vote goes to S&B , and it's much cleaner. Shipping is still a tad high though.

Around here in SC, 380 ball ammo is near $20 a box for FMJ. This is a good price, and you ain't got to go out an hunt for it....delivered right to your door!

The United States contains 4.5% of the world's population, and a massive portion of the private ammo market, so it would behoove them to provide product listings, specifications, and documentation in American-friendly formats.

Anyway, the deal is over, so it's probably time to close this thread.
