This is similar to another thread I have about .22lr pistols and rifles. I'm trying to find 9mm pistol and 9mm rifle/carbine combinations that can share magazines.

Glock 17 and Kel-Tec Sub 2000 come to mind.

Glock Model 17/19 and Olympic Arms K9-GL

S&W Model 59 and Marlin Camp-9 Carbine

H&K SP-89 and H&K HK-94

The Kel-Tec SUB-2000 can be ordered to accept either Beretta Model 92, Glock Model 17, SIG P-2226 or S&W Model 59 series magazines.

Ruger PC9 9mm Rifle and Ruger P95,93,89 pistols share the same magazines.

Yep. but the PC9 isn't made anymore and they're getting kinda hard to find. I just sold one two days ago along with a P89. Do I have a little bit of seller's remorse, eh maybe, but hey that's the way it goes sometimes. I found new toys I wanted more and something had to go :uhoh:.

The PC9 is a nice rifle but it has a very interesting trigger. It's heavy and short. The first time you shoot one you'll think the safety is on when it isn't. I used to love to watch my friends shoot it for the first time. You'd see that downward flinch and then they would check to see if the safety was on. But it's such a short trigger pull that it is still very accurate. It was designed by Ruger to be a patrol carbine for police dept's so they could use the same magazines in Ruger handguns. I've read that because of this they were designed so they could be fired accurately under stress hence the heavy but short trigger pull. You can literally jerk the trigger and still hit your target. They did a .40 cal version too. It kinda flopped on the police market but they've got a pretty good cult following in the civilian marketplace. Still not enough to keep Ruger producing them though.

If they would only make one in .45 cal that took P90/97/345 mags I would have one in a heartbeat.

I want to be 2nd in line. A friend of mine was bidding on a Marlin Camp 45 and it went way over $600. The two calibers of the Ruger PCs are still selling at good value.

Back on topic. If you have S&W Model 59 and Marlin Camp-9 Carbine, you can also use these mags in a Keltec P11. Keltec even makes a sleeve to fit over the S&W magazines

HiPoint carbine magazines will work in the pistols, but are not reliable...

The 10 round dedicated pistol magazine has a large base to help prevent some movement.

The 8 round dedicated pistol magazine is too short to work in the carbine.

I've been told, by several Ruger shareholders/employees who get internal company info that they actually have a design and went as far as building a prototype, but never tooled up to make it large scale. If only.......

Camp 9 and XD 9mm mags

I bought a camp9 carbine and 1 day I noticed how much my XD mags looked like the factory jobs fro Marlin. All it took was a small cut to the side of the XD mad and it feeds my camp9 just fine.

Sweet to have a pistol and a carbine fire from the same mag :)

Your first thoughts were 100% correct!!!
G17,19/Sub 2000!!!
I carry a Glock 26,keep a Glock 19 in the car with a Kel-Tec Sub.
Have a case full of loaded mags to feed any of the three.
Glock, what's not to like?? My "Sub" has been 100% with over 2k of ammo.
Will add that she has just been oiled,no "down to earth cleaning"!!!
My 2cents

the 9mm Calico Liberty 50/100 rifles and Liberty 3 pistols share the same helical 50 or 100 round mags
