Man I was debating a 16in 6.5 PRC scout type build and realized the insane muzzle blast would not be worth it so I have up on the idea. My 24in 6.5 PRC Mossberg is pretty darn accurate and pretty lightweight, with the V6 gamma muzzle brake it's relatively tame, recoil wise, for burning 58.5/59 grains of Retumbo/H1000 respectively. I can't wait to get a SilencerCo Hybrid 46M when dad and I get our SOT and try it, and other guns, like my 1911, suppressed.
She's a beaut!

Thank you I think 20 is a good spot to be with a 7 inch can as well

NICE!!!

‘Western Style big game hunting rig’ ….10 pounds? You hauling that in on a horse or atv? On foot at above 9-10,000 feet 10 pounds is a mite heavy. Especially when bushwhacking a steep vertical slope or boulder field. Of course, if you’re knocking down antelope in eastern/south western Wyoming 10 pounds probably will not be a concern. Good looking gun with some quality components.

I can't believe that rifle weighs 10 pounds. Must be a lot of metal in the stock that allows the cheek piece to be adjusted, or that 20 inch barrel is a lot larger in diameter than it looks. How much does the can weigh? Good looking rifle and must be a joy to shoot.

The Long range Hunter has a much heavier barrel profile than their standard Hunter the Can weighs 8.9oz as it sits

Yeah, 20-22" is a good balance for suppressed hunting rifles firing full power and magnum rounds. A little velocity loss vs 24" or 26", but not enough to be very meaningful, and the greater portability is well worth a few yard shorter MPBR.

For more efficient short action rounds like .308 and 7mm-08, I like 18".

Nice! Should serve you well!

My big game lightweight Win70 EW is a 24” 280ai proof barrel with Leupold VX6hd 3-18x44. It comes in at 8lbs. 7oz., if I hunt with my suppressor it’s another 1lb.

Have plans to eventually have a custom carbon fiber stock made for it. Drop some weight and be a better fit for me.

Right now the plan is more towards the antelope and less towards steep vertical slopes but I’m sure it would work in either situations
