Well we went for some 12 gauge therapy this weekend and to test out my buddy Dave's new Benelli Nova Special Purpose. A great time was had by all.

Well we went back on Sunday to function test an aquistion I picked up at a flea market and Sheslinger and Dave went with me.

Well Sheslinger finally decided it was time to try out a shotgun. She put a few rounds of 20 gauge out of a small semi auto and then asked to try Daves Benelli Nova 12 gauge.

I have to tell you she picked up that gun and started blazing away like she had been shooting shotguns for twenty years. No short stroking, hits right on target, smooth reloading. I have to say I was amazed. She did better then I did my first time with a shotgun and this was with a little 18.5 inch 7 pound sucker.

She is now enamored with that Benelli. Likes the pump better then auto and has finally found the meaning of 12 gauge nirvana.

Just thought I would share.

Ohh yeah Davidtdm, Bowlcut and I put our first 3.5 inch magnum rounds ever through that little 7 pound pump gun. WOW:what: What a flame thrower. We will all be seeing the chiropractor next week. :D

That's great to hear, Chris. Sounds like she's had a good foundation on stance and recoil control, and it's paying off. Good for her.

The first shot of that 3.5 inch stuff and Dave was almost in the floor with both pain and laughter. It was funny as all get out. Flames almost went to the target at only 7 yards. I know it almost knocked my big butt over....and most things dont rock me too bad ;)

Glad ya got the ms's shooting the scater guns. Now the home is truely safe

Oh and Chris as soon as ya get them off the camera Id enjoy seeing the pics....if neccessary I can find a place for you to put them if needed.
