Make no mistake this is not my toy. When I told Sheslinger that we got "our" new M1 Carbine in the mail today she looked at me with a perplexed look and said in a questioning manner...."OUR?"
"Yes, our new M1 Carbine." I replied with a smile. I had already cleaned up OUR new M1 Carbine so we kind of bonded.
"Oh, you mean MY new M1 Carbine came in the mail." She said with a grin.
Well whats mine is hers and what's hers is hers so here is a couple of pictures of Sheslingers new M1 Carbine.
It is an Inland receiver and a Winchester Barrel. The barrel is bright and rifling very strong. Overall the rifle was very clean with only a few little spots of rust in a couple of nooks and crannies and a little surface rust on the buttplate.
The action is tight and everything seems to be in perfect working order. The stock is beautiful for a war baby.
We, I mean, She got the rifle, 3 30 round magazines, 2 15 round magazines, magazine butt pouch, sling, and oiler for $450 which isn't bad as far as we were concerned. Even beat up GI imports were going for $500 and $600 at the shows with one 15 round mag. So we got a great looking shooter with a little bit of history to boot. We are both happy and that is all that matters.
Anyway here are the pics.
