Shipped my 642 for warranty work a week and a half ago. Wonderingly how long it usually takes. The barrel had a small pit in it. Brand new (250 rds in one month), no lock.

My 340 sc (titanium) .357 was shipped in for a refinish and they basically gave me a new gun (frame replacement) and I got it back today after 3 weeks. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I am very pleased with Smith's service!! I want to contact them to ask them why the frame exchange versus a re-finish job. Essentially I have a new gun again!! Carried A LOT, shot about 1000 rounds over 7 years.
