I was told by a friend of mine at work that you can sale a muzzleloader(none NEF or Encore without/removeable barrel via UPS. Is this true?? I live in Southeastern NM and going to buy from a guy in northern NM.

It can be shipped by UPS or the USPS (that's the U.S. Mail). Muzzle loaders are considered to be antique guns even if they are modern reproductions.

But if shipping by UPS (United Parcel Service), some of their little mailbox stores won't ship them, only the company service centers will. So use the U.S. Mail! ;)

Use the US Mail as it is less expensive. The only reqirement is the exterior of the box cannot say "firearm". I just received 2 BP revolvers by US Mail. One from a private individual and one from a gunshop. Legal in most areas of this great country except where local laws are more stringent than federal law............Mike

100% legal EXCEPT; NY City, NJ, MI, and locations where everything is controlled by Big Brother(socialists).........Mike

Gunruner, could you please point me toward the source of this information?

His information is a bit inaccurate. I live in MI and have both received and shipped bp weapons.

OOps sorry my friend who lives in Midland, MI said that BP revolvers were controlled and had to be delivered through a dealer. Sorry if my post created a problem. I'll edit it..........Mike

Your friend was correct at one time, but that's no longer the case. The law was changed in 2004.

Muzzle loaders can be legally shipped via USPS. However, some states frown upon "guns" including airguns being purchased from out-of-state sellers.
