Hi All!
So my Dad finally got his NJ license and pistol purchase permit.
I live in FL and have a Beretta 92FS Inox that my Dad is in love with. The gun has 2 15 round mags.
I want to ship it to Ramsey Outdoor for transfer. I called the dealer and they told me that 15 round mags are OK in NJ (is that true?). They guys also said that I MAY have to ship it from a dealer in FL. Is that some NJ law? Or can I just ship from UPS or FedEx to FFL in NJ and be done with it?

Thanks!

Magazines OVER 15 round capacity are prohibited in New Jersey, so the magazines are fine. If the FFL is willing to accept the shipment from a private party, you are good to go. You should have a signed copy of their FFL which they can FAX to you. They will probably require a copy of your identification to be included in the shipment. Take it to UPS or FEDEX and ship away. No requirement to go through an FFL on your side, BUT....

It might be cheaper. The FFL on your side could send the gun to them via USPS which is a heck of a lot cheaper than next day shipping required by both UPS or FEDEX.
