Dallas Action Pistol Shooters will be holding an IDPA match this Saturday at Elm Fork in Dallas.
Sign up is at 9:30 and hammer drops at 10:00. If you are a first timer, please get there a little early for a safety briefing. If you have not tried IDPA or USPSA you are missing some serious fun. It beats the heck out of standing in front of a target that is 7 yards away, firing a round a second. Shoot from cover, shoot on the move, and shoot enough rounds to require a reload during a course of fire.
Our IDPA matches are free your first time. Just pay the $10 range fee and we will pick up the match fee.
Everything you need to know as well as a list of what you need to shoot the match, and a map to the range is on our web site.
See you there.

Thanks for the invitation Darin. I've actually been planning on shooting with you guys some time soon. I was at the Elm Fork USPSA shoot last weekend (as a spectator). I don't think I'll be able to make it out this weekend (though I'll try) but I would like to come out and shoot soon. Looks like a ton of fun.

JB,
We look forward to having you out. If weekends are tough to make, we shoot IDPA every Wednesday evening. Our schedule is under "Events" on our web site.
Thanks,
Darin

Thanks Darin. Actually, weekends are usually ok but this weekend my Director of Social Activities (i.e. my wife) has a full schedule planed for me:)

I look forwar to shooting with you guys.

Saturday's match was great fun. We shot 6 creative stages and the abundant sunshine made the cool temps a non-issue (unless the oil on your gun was too thick ;) ). It seemed that everyone had a good time.
