Just got back from a massive .22lr shootfest. I probably played 20 games of "blarts." Darts with bullets. We shot 301, 501, cricket... It was a lot of fun. We played some "pool" but it was ok, and a random game with different numbers and the high score won. It got me thinking, what are some other shooting games to play? Rifles and shotguns?

Any suggestions?

Thanks all!

Neeco wafers @ 100 meters.
Glue them to poster board and play call the shot.
I could tell you how to bet the shots but this is a family show!:D

Wow, cricket does sound fun, I'll have to try that.

In college (criminal justice major) we played with steel plates (about 7 or 9... any odd number will do) two people standing side by side or spread out a bit. First one to knock down the middle plate wins. You can do it with shotguns and handguns, and I suppose rifles if the targets are back far enough. You can also start with less ammo so that you have to reload before getting to the middle target, it really adds some pressure to the situation. As soon as I can scrape enough steel or money together, I'm going to get some steel targets made for this purpose.

Ahhh...Poker with a rifle...As Desi would say to Lucy..."lemme esplain to you..."

You take a standard deck of 52 cards. You spread them out in a fan shape on a target board (plywood works really well.) Using your rifle (could play with pistols I guess) you aim for the upper corner of the card. Each player fires 5 shots and you try to hit the best hand possible. The trick is, do you go for the highest hand (4 Aces with the King kicker) or try for flushes or straights?

It can be a real hoot and very challenging....

I like to toss a bunch of the steel 223 cases out at 25 to 35 yards and send them into never never land with the 22. They just disappear.... Great fun with a really small target.
