My wife and I are thinking of making shooting even MORE fun, and probably more time consuming, by playing shooting games. I know about playing tic-tac-toe, but I'm stumped for other games to play.

I thought about making a board with the letters of the alphabet and playing "Hangman" where a miss counts as a letter that isn't in the word/phrase, as another option.

So, any other "shooting games" that anyone here has played or thought of?

BTW - The outdoor range that we go to only allows paper targets.

My brothers and I play very simple games...

"see that white stick?"
Ya.
"a buck I hit it first"
OK

I shoot one shot, he shoots one shot, etc... or 5 shots at a turn... reactive targets are best. Simple stuff :p

I've seen targets before that have a deck of cards on them. Shoot the cards you want in your hand...best hand wins kinda thing...

Tic Tac Toe works okay. Easiest way to keep track of who hit where on the target is to mark an 'X' or '0' on another game board after each shot.

rifle or handgun?

also depends on whether or not your range allows you to shoot at non-paper targets.

at the junky range i'll stand up some of the perforated propane tanks and have them positioned so that i can shoot them from left to right, and back again. my goal is to hit each tank with the first shot, so i can target the next one.
then i'll do controlled pairs.

the card game sounds kinda cool as well.... but right now i dont have anything scoped.

Me and my brother used to play that game...with anything.
"See dad's truck's antennea...?" (BB guns on this one... >_>)
"See the clothes hanger wire...?" (I shot the thing in two..muaha.)
But we were too poor to gamble. =(
