Shooting lead with a Chrome Bore? 40 S&W

Has anyone used lead in a chrome bored pistol? Particularly I'm using a Stoeger Cougar 8040F. Was wondering if there are any drawbacks or is the chrome better than steel. Maybe there's no difference?

It would make no difference one way or the other if the bore is chrome or not.

The deciding factor with lead bullets is type of rifling (Polygon or Land & Groove) and whether it is slick & smooth enough to not lead badly, or not.

I was thinking along the same lines, rcmodel. Thanks for the input, I'm gonna order some bullets from Missouri Bullet and give them a try. I'll post info on how they work later.
