Here is a photo of our 1/4 scale Parrott Cannon. To give you an idea of the size the wheels measure 14-1/2" in diam and the barrel is about 19" long.

Here is a video of us shooting 150 gr of black powder and a handful of Skittles candy. It is pretty funny.

It's loud enough you can feel the concussion when you shoot it.

I lucked into this one....Did some swapping to get it. :)

I have looked all over the internet for one like and haven't found one this scale. There are several other mini cannons for sale, I think Cabela's sells one. Just look around most are like 1/6 scale that I have found.

That's a good looking carriage!

....normally i only say that about women.

I once saw in action a reduced scale model of a 3" ordnance rifle.
The bore was sleeved with a piece of suplus 20mm Oerlikon barrel and shot lathe turned "bolts". The owner laid it with a scope sight in V blocks on top of the barrel. It was quite accurate.

Thanks desidog!

We have decided to shoot the cannon every day at high noon..... :D

That's a handsome Parrott gun you've got there. I also clicked on the second video that showed the damage to the cardboard box (a good representation of a platoon of men marching line abreast).

Were the wheels scratch built or from another kit?
