Shooting range adventure :)

Went to the shooting range today. Figured I'd get to try out my mosin and I did and let the people to my left try it out. They let me try out their marlin 30-30 lever action ( idk if thats what it is called ) but it had a pretty cool scope definitely interesting, and then they let me shoot their 30-06 and that was pretty beast it felt like it kicked more even with its 1'' rubber butt pad than my steel butt M/N all around amazing day. I was surprised I was able to go through 50 of my m/n rounds without stopping. My only complaint is that shooting all of these guns inside is horrid on the ears. Wish there was an outdoor range somewhere close.

30-06 is a hefty round. I can't tell much of a difference between a 7.62x54 in my M38 or M44 and a 30-06 in a Garand. Perhaps a bolt action 06 would be different.

I, personally, cannot feel any difference between an M91/30, a PSL, or my Remington 700 30-06 bolt action so you are not alone there.

Good grief! You certainly would have driven me out of the range until you were done. I'm deaf enough, thanks...

I'm sure you are already, but I hope you are doubling up on your hearing protection.

Oh yea the plugs and the earmuffs. Oh boy it was loud I had to walk through the handgun range to exit and it was like comparing a construction site to popping popcorn. I wish I had brought my cz.

I shoot my M 44 and M 91 59 very fast as in rapid fire at one sec at least each cock and shoot. I dont have problem doing it all maybe bec im used to the recoil. But standing beside a person shooting it is another thing. The concussion and side blast is deafening and daunting. For those with M4s they can be loud too. But with five rounds of the Mosin it will tell them you have something big...
