I am looking around for another gun to add to my collection after a recent ebay spree. I have $700 from selling stuff that was just laying around that I never used! Anyway, if you had a $700 budget, what gun, or combination of guns (handguns) would you go after and why?

1. The gun/guns must be a handgun.
2. Must not be a snubnose or a pocket .380(I carry a nickel colt detective special and/or a magnum research micro eagle, also nickel).
3. Must be readily available from a LGS, Bud's, gallery of guns, or another online dealer.
4. Must not be a glock or an XD. I've tried both extensively and just never warmed up to them.

As for what niche I am trying to fill, well...I have home defense and range toys. I do lack a 9mm or .45 carry gun. I also lack a .22 that I am in love with. My most pressing need would be a larger caliber (9mm or greater) carry gun.

I really like Sigs, and right now the top of my list has a P239 in 9mm.

A 1911 platform would be nice...the STI Spartan comes in well under 700. CDNN has the Sig 220 Compact for $599 if you want a little smaller. I really like my Browning Buckmark for a 22 target gun....

just ideas...

Rella, where are they being sold for that price? I would love to have one of those.

Top Gun Supply who posts here had grade b guns at that price. I am not sure if he is sold out yet.

Thanks for the help, I will look into those. Although I still love that Sig P239...

If you want to go slightly over budget, 2 NIB RIA GI .45 ACPs can be had for a little over $700.00 from a couple of Auction Arms online auctions.

S&W M&P VTAC. New for 2011. Don't know why I would need a fourth M&P but with a bigger budget, some sort of Dan Wesson.

With today's conversion craze.... get 2 guns for price of 1.... get a .40 cal and get a 9mm conversion.

SW M&P has a .40/9 conversion ... FN does...I read Sig does.....

I'd say look into those --

aything by Sig, I'm partial to the 226 .40, and if you can find a reman they are a steal at about 550-600. Full warranty I bought one and love it

I bought a brand new P239 in 9mm today from my local gun shop. Now to get a crossbreed supertuck for it!

I need to add, he had an awesome Sig P220 stainless in there today in .45 and it was AWESOME looking. I didn't get to hold it because I had my little boys with me and didn't want them destroying his shop while I held everything!

For sti. Check Brazos customs. Sig 239 is great choice if it fits your hand. Beretta px4 compact is nice as well.

Smith and Wesson M&P full size or compact (depending on what you're comfortable carrying) with a 40 ---> 9mm conversion barrel.

M&P = $500
Barrel = $125
Leftover money goes to magazines, ammo, holster, or whatever.
