I have a std. Length Brasser in 44 and really like it! Smooth action due to the natural lubricity of brass/steel .
I'm wondering how the 5 1/2bbl is?
I load my Brasser at 18-20gr of Pyrodex and filler with wads and round balls for in friction.
I currently own a Piettia .36 Police with a 5 1/2" bbl and love the handling!
Wondering if the probably a bit lighter .44would be it's equal or maybe balance better?
iKnow the reduced charge even with the larger ball will still not equal the .36 in velocity or power/penetration but the properties of brass/steel parts intregues me!
Granted a 44 with 18 gr of Pyrodex would still be deadly .
For the price it may be worth a try? I have both barrel length Remingtons and the shortie handles GREAAT and still matches it's longer brother.
Any owners please speak up OK?
