Short Barrel Revolver Powder

I'm looking to load for 480 Ruger in the SRH Alaskan.

Which powders are good for short barrel revolvers?
Faster powders? I like to use bulky powders that fill the case.

800-x?

I use 4227 in my SRH 480 long barrel. It seems to be less recoil than factory loads. I have a 629 with a 2.5” barrel and use Unique In reduced loads.
Never tried 800x.

It depends. Short version.

Fast powders to minimize blast and flash while still getting good performance.

Slow powders when you want maximum velocity, don't care if half the powder goes out the muzzle, and don't care about your night vision or eyebrows.

I was planning

800-x for the 325gr @ 1000 to 1100fps

300-mp for the 325gr @ however fast starting load is (I'm guessing 1250-1350 maybe faster I gotta dig through manuals.)
