Shortage of 9 mm Ammunition

The other evening provided the culmination of a beautiful 75° day, so sitting on the porch sipping on some "Old Tom Horan" Irish Whiskey, I figured out why there has been such a shortage of 9 mm handgun ammunition.
In Chapters 1, 2, & 3, "John Wick", by himself, shoots up at least 13 million rounds in all of the scrapes that he gets into.
Now, that they have begun filming Chapters 4 & 5, it doesn't look like there will be much in the line of 9 mm ammunition left for us "unwashed masses" who own a 9 mm pistol, for at least the next three years.

I’ll believe it when it happens. There’s been so much “the sky is falling” in regards to ammo that I prefer to just wait and see.

Around here there is plenty of 9mm its just $35 per 50. 45ACP on the other hand is still near $1/round

There is plenty if you reload.
I cranked out about 400 of my clandestine 9mm as seen here https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/clandestine-9mm-loads.887637/ , about 2 days ago then over the next week or so I'll load up a thousand 147gr FMJs. Then I ordered 300 more of those 124gr sig v crown bullets yesterday, I'll load those up, then I'm done loading small primer rounds till the price of primers comes back down cause I'm not paying gouge prices for primers.

9mm is everywhere now. It's still expensive but the price is slowly dropping.

Considering every time I watch a local gun show video of a local show there's pallets of it and 2 of the larger stores in my area also have pallets of it, I have a hard time feeling were in much of a shortage. Might be a regional thing though

It’s amusing to call a shortage what is probably the highest production run of 9mm ammunition in history.

Amusing as this approach is, the issue is well known and on going. And while it does appear to be getting better in some areas, others still appear to be facing a shortage. Times are strange that's for sure.
