Reload? Bah! If you can carry a second magazine, you might as well carry it in a second P32. Carry strong-side AND weakside.

The P-3AT isn't a "session" pistol. Anyone who can go more than 50 rounds with one likes pain or at least discomfort.

Practice just enough to be proficient with it and get a full size 9mm for those 300 round sagas.

P32

I've had a P32 now for a week or two, and I love it. Accurate and reliable right out of the cheap little cardboard box it came in. I paid much more for my NAA Guardians several years ago and neither of them came any more accurate and definitely not as reliable as my KelTec P32. The only thing that should keep anyone seriously interested in the most "mouse gun" for the least money from buying a P32 (or P3AT from what I hear) is fear of their "gun snob" friends kidding them about it. KelTec is made in America, right down the road in Cocoa, Fl, and they have a wonderful reputation for Customer Service. Pistols are warrented FOR LIFE, no questions asked. My understanding is they even provide free warrenty repair without proof of original ownership. My kinda Company..

P.S. If the pistol you are using tends to hangup or malfunction with "wally world" white box ammo, the problem could very well be the ammo, not the firearm. I have several pistols which are normally 100% reliable that will hiccup sometimes with "white box". My Buddy has had the same problem. You can't beat the price (especially in 9mm), but I use it for plinking only, never in a pistol I carry for self protection. Somewhere up the wally world supply line quality control is sorely lacking. One batch of ammo will shoot great, the next might be underpowered and cause problems. JMOFO :)

Nah! The first time I shoot about 100-125 rounds through mine, the abraded skin on the web of my hand heals into a nice callus in only about a week. After that, shooting it is an almost pain-free proposition!

Now, if I could just get to the range more and KEEP that callus in place, I wouldn't have to repeat step 1 every so often... :banghead:

Seriously though, shooting 50 rounds through my P-3AT, or even 75, isn't bad. Also, mine has no grip modification or magazine extension. I keep it stock, in order to maintain the smallest footprint possible. The only addition I have on it is a P-Sight, of course!

Only complaint I have is that the White Box Winchester ammo won't extract very good. The base of it is much thinner than the Remington I've been shooting lately. I've installed the newer extractor, but it looks like the way I modified my first one.
A little tip on the discomfort, make sure the casting flashing is filed off inside the trigger guard.
Besides, if you ever really need to pull it out, your adrenalin is going to be pumping so much that shooting discomfort is going to be your last thought, and I guarantee you won't remember even pulling the trigger.

For me, the worst part about shooting the P-3AT is the beating it gives to my trigger finger. I don't find that it hammers the web of my hand all that badly. Anyways, 50-75 rounds is usually my limit before it feels like my fingernail is going to be ripped from my index fingers. Perhaps I just need to build some more callous :)

I like my P-32 despite the fact that I cannot even hit the paper with it in aimed fire at 7yds. What I can do with it is pull it out of my pocket and put 7rds. into the 9 ring or better at 5ft, pulling the trigger as fast as I can as soon as the gun clears the pocket. It is a great little companion when its bigger brothers and sisters have to keep one another company at home. BTW, I always use a pocket holster, usually an Alessi roughout.

When I purchased the P-32 below, it shot low and left about 4 inches at 7 yards. I sent it in for the $20 hard chrome slide and barrel exchange and the new upper is dead on target. The question is, was it the slide & barrel or am I just shooting better because I have a shiner pistol :)

I don't know, fedlaw- I think my little P32 is a purty akrit lil' gun. Maybe you shouldn't treat it like it was your 629. Not all good handguns weight 80 pounds, and drive nails at 100 yards!
