For the longest time, I thought the distances of the target stands at my local R&G club maxxed out at 25 yards, stands at 10, 15, 20, and 25 yards, it turns out the ranges are *actually* 7, 10, 25, and 45...
So, I've been sighting in my Marlin 25 for the past couple weeks (swapped scopes last week and this week) at 45 yards, not 25....
So, that means that these groups pictured were actually shot at 45 yards...
Ruger 10/22 with Bushnell Trophy 4-15X 40mm AO at 15X power, CCI Blazer HV ammo, 5 shots
Marlin Model 25 with Bushnell Trophy 3-9X 40mm Non-AO at 9X, CCI Blazer ammo, 5 shots
And *THIS* was shot at 25 yards with the same Marlin sporting it's new-to-me-but-actually-used-but-in-great-shape Bushnell Trophy 4-12X 40mm AO Japanese manufactured scope, and CCI Blazer ammo;
Marlin Model 25 with Bushnell Trophy 4-12X AO at 12X, CCI Blazer, 5 shots
Yes, that is a FIVE shot group, that can be covered by a dime!
I was initially sighting in the scope, and had the crosshairs centered on the black dot, but once I saw round #2 go through the same hole, I decided to see if, using the same POA as the last two shots, I could shoot a One-Holer
And yes, the scope is now properly adjusted to put the rounds at the center of the crosshairs
I just couldn't resist grabbing this target to add it to my "bragging board" though...
