Here is the official SHOT Show 2007 thread. It's only 2 months away!

I propose a THR get together for Friday (Jan. 12) for dinner. I'm working on identifying a suitable restaurant.

The FBMG crew will be there.

Henry, this time I'll try not to slice myself open on one of your client's products and squirt blood all over SHOT. :)

I'm considering going as an individual; I went to the Vegas SHOT in 2004.

It's one heck of a show, but it isn't as good as a gun show because I can't buy anything at SHOT... it's a trade show. :(

Still, it has all the goodies.

Made my reservations back in July. I know it's not a good idea after a gun show but I'll be stopping by a few gun shops, including Champion's Choice, in the drive back to OH.

As RRTX stated....we (RRTX, Techbrute and I) will be there. All arrangements have been made!

We have so far invested in this for 3 nights hotel, car rental, and airfare, roughly $350.00, for ALL 3 of us. :D Of course, it helps that my wife works for an airline and I happen to have a couple extra tickets laying around.

Find a friendly FFL or sporting goods related business owner or, like me, get a C&R license.

I'm using a local person I know there to scout out a restaurant for the THR get-together. I'm told there's nothing but chains near the conv. center and that a hotel restaraunt is our best bet. Any suggestions are welcome. I'll solicit a head count later.

SHOT Show is

a wonderful thing. I got to go in 1988. Saw things there that I never did see go to market. They were probably too efficient for their intended purposes, and were instantly outlawed by the various game departments.

But they were cool to look at! :D

Mmmm. That Dixies Crossroads menu looks pretty good. Didn't know there was a Bass Pro near by.

:neener: I'm only a 2 hour drive away. :neener:

I was just in Orlando yesterday for the gun show. I'll have to see if I can make reservations.

I e-mailed the manager of the Orlando Dixie Crossroads restaurant. He said he would love to have us and separate checks would be fine. Although he didn't mention it, the website states they add an 18% gratuity on parties of 20 or more but that would probably be the case anywhere we go. If you guys want me to make reservations just let me know (time and head count).

Gary,

Why don't you get us penciled in for the Friday evening of the show, say 7:00, for about 20. We will do a final nose count when we are about 10 days out.
