Shotgun engraver L. Davis

Has anyone ever heard of an L.Davis? I picked up a super nice 311A 20ga with proablly the most time ever spent on a ole 311..someone really went to town on this one and I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a engraver or woodworker by the name L.Davis. Thats the name signed under the woodwork..

I absolutely despise engraved wood in any gun....until now. That is very well done.

I appreciate the metal work a bit more than the wood, myself. But, that is about the nicest 311 I've yet to lay eyes on.

Thanks. I'm having a very hard time finding any info on the guy. Should be From around the Tenn. area
