Here's another one for you familiar with laws in Alaska:
I will be visiting/moving to Alaska at some point and I am an avid hiker. I'd like to bring my 12ga. shotgun with me, but I am not sure if it is legal to carry it in the woods (although not nat'l parks, of course).
I have heard you need a special permit to hunt with a shotgun, and I am curious what it takes to get that permit as well as how they differentiate my carring a shotgun for defense as opposed to carrying it for hunting-- meaning I may have to have the hunting permit just in case?
Anyone understand what I'm asking? Furthermore, does anyone have an answer?
Thanks, all!
