Should I buy a lever rifle?

Definitely buy a lever gun. Spare your self the agony of a Browning BL 22. I hated mine and couldn't wait to get rid of it. But, good fortune smiled on me and I replaced it with a Marlin 39A, really good one and I've been delighted ever since.

I have a Browning BL-22 and it's definitely my least favorite .22 LR rifle. It's not very accurate. I do love the short throw of the action but if you can't consistently hit a can at 25 yards, what's the point? It's pretty difficult go wrong with a Henry as a first lever gun, especially now that the center fires all have loading gates. I do love my 1930's vintage Winchester 94 as well, but the action isn't nearly as smooth as any Henry I've ever handled.

Ok I have 6 Henry’s sort of. Well I bought 6. My son has 2 of them the 1860 and the 22 golden boy I bought him I have the h001 myself along w an 1860 and a long range in 6.5. Then ther is the 22 golden boy in 22mag I picked up from a friend. Got that for my granddaughter. She loves it. It has a long brass scope mounted to it w custom brass rings look really cool . Yea get a Henry don’t look back.
I’m thinking I need a case hardened side gate. Can’t make up my mind 30-30 or 45-70. Maybe the 30-30 and have it rechambered to something else. Maybe open it up to 32 spl. Have tons of brass reloads and the dies already.
